TRIPLE P PROGRAM – Positive Parenting Program
DURATION: 4 weeks/ 2 hrs per session
TIME: 5:00pm – 7:00pm
LOCATION: FREE Online virtual group
Being a parent is rewarding and enjoyable, but it is not always easy! It can often be demanding, frustrating and exhausting. Parents have the important role of raising the next generation, yet most of us begin our parenting careers unprepared for what lies ahead, and learn through trial and error. The challenge for all parents is to raise healthy, well-adjusted children in a loving, predictable environment. Positive parenting is an approach to parenting which aims to promote children’s development and manage children’s behavior in a constructive and non-hurtful way. It is based on good communication and positive attention to help children develop.
Bottom line… This program is to help parents be more confident and competent. It promotes positive caring relationships. It develops effective management strategies. Triple P aims to prevent behavior by increasing knowledge, skills and confidence of parents.
This is a free 4 week program that will provide parents with new ideas, strategies and skills to help build positive behaviours in their children (2-12 yrs of age). The Triple P Parenting Program is facilitated by Jane Schubert, RECE.
